Catelynn Addresses Tyler's Comments About Her Weight-Loss Efforts: 'I Know He Means Well'

Baby Novalee's mother opens up about the sensitive subject.

Many mothers embark on a weight-loss journey after giving birth to their child(ren), and Catelynn is no exception. During this week's "Teen Mom OG" episode, Baby Novalee's mama opened up about losing 20 pounds post-delivery and the changes she would be making to meet her goal in time for her August nuptials. But how did the 23-year-old -- who chronicled an unsuccessful wedding dress fitting -- feel about Tyler's forthright efforts to get his longtime fiancée to alter her dietary and fitness routine?

"When Tyler talks to me about my weight, I know that he means it well," the Michigan native states in the "Teen Mom OG: Featured Moment" below. "I think guys just don't know how to tell women about it. At first, I used to get really defensive [about] it and, he's like, 'I just want you to feel good about yourself when you're walking down the aisle.'"

While Ty did his best to be a positive reinforcement, how has he helped motivate his partner?

"Tyler's super-supportive about my weight loss," C explains. "He encourages me a lot to go to the gym and do things that he knows that I want to do. And he's really good at helping me make better decisions."
