Rooney Mara Is Obviously Obsessed With Wearing White Dresses Everywhere

Always the bride and never the bridesmaid?

Either Rooney Mara's pretending every red carpet event in the world is her wedding day aisleway -- or we're missing something. Because the lady pretty much always wears a white dress. To everything.

Not that we're complaining or anything because she is a sublime vision no matter what, but we have to believe that at this point she's totally doing this on purpose. Either that or she's allergic to fabric dye. Because something's up.

Need proof? Well, here's a visual history of Rooney as The Bride in this theater of life.

Most recently, there was the 2015 Cannes Film Festival, in which Rooney showed up to both the photocall and premiere for her film "Carol," which debuted at the fest on Sunday (May 17) in -- you guessed it -- a pair of bright white dresses.

Back in October, she allowed just a smidgen of color to layer into her otherwise-also-white frock for the Rome Film Festival. (On a related note: Can we pretty-please borrow this one, RM?).

At the 2015 Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week show for Calvin Klein, she had fun with fabrics ... but not the coloring of them.

And then there was last year's Cannes, where she wore a ... well, you know.

And once again at the 2013 Rome Film Fest because Rooney Mara loves her white dresses.

Here, she went two-toned with white and black (which is basically the only other color that has made its way into her fashion palate).

And of course she stuck with her tried-and-true hue at the 2012 Academy Awards, at which she was a nominee for Best Actress for her work in "The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo."

We could go on, but the case is clear. While many women go the LBD (Little Black Dress) route for their routine going-out outfit, Rooney's thing is to be the eternal bride. And we definitely dig it.
