It's Janet Jackson's birthday today, and the legendary pop singer is celebrating with the best gift to her fans: promises of a new album and a world tour.
In a short video, Jackson announced that her next album would be out by the end of the year. "I promised you'd hear it from my lips, and now you will," she said. "This year: new music, new world tour, a new movement. I've been listening. Let's keep the conversation going."
Jackson tweeted the video alongside the hashtag #ConversationsInACafe, which sounds like it could be the album's title. It'll be her first album of new music since 2008's Discipline, and we couldn't be more excited.
The 50-second clip shows a glimpse of a music studio, and is backed by what could be new music from Janet. Watch it below.
