Here's How Michael Fassbender Learned To Slow Down On The 'Slow West' Set

Here's what he learned from co-star Kodi Smit-McPhee.

"Slow West," the new Western in theaters today, is the first of two movies that Michael Fassbender and Kodi Smit-McPhee co-star in ("X-Men: Apocalypse" will be the next), and the two men have taught one another a thing or two over their time working together.

While Fassbender has many skills -- fast running, horse riding, not really shooting, according to him -- one that he's still working on is meditation, something that Smit-McPhee apparently sang the praises of on-set, Fassbender told MTV News at a press day ahead of the release of the film.

"He's very smart and very mature and a very sort of original person," Fassbender said of his co-star. "He's just a very impressive young man."

Despite Smit-McPhee's efforts, however, Fassbender isn't quite on that meditation train yet.

"I tried a little bit today, but I think it lasted about a minute and a half," he said.

“Slow West” hits theaters and On-Demand May 15.
