Watch Miley Cyrus Debut Her Trippy New Song, 'Tiger Dreams'

Her neck, her back, a tiger... a new track!

Miley Cyrus did so many weird and wonderful things at the Adult Swim upfront party at New York's Terminal 5 on Wednesday night. Maybe the most unexpected, though, was debuting a new song called "Tiger Dreams," the first fresh track she's performed live since releasing Bangerz back in October 2013.

Joined by her besties in the Flaming Lips for half of the set, Miley wore a typically trippy outfit that included white leggings, long purple gloves, giant butterfly wings and pasties for the show, which also included covers of Led Zeppelin, Johnny Cash, Dido and Khia.

Miley teased "Dreams" earlier in the day, releasing a 15-second snippet of the song with the caption, “New jammmmmmmmmmmm."

After revealing that she had to retitle the song and add "Dreams" because Katy Perry already has a song named "Tiger," (referring perhaps to "Roar"), Miley played the meditative new track all the way through for the first time for a live audience.

"No one's ever heard this s--t, unless you've been at my garage, so f---in' get excited!" she said of the tune filled with dark dream imagery and deep thoughts about the meaning of life. With a plaintive, psychedelic keyboard line reminiscent of recent Lips ballads, she sang, "And we always end up singing the same song/ They remind us of the coolest s--t in the world/ But they also remind us we are dying/ So that's why we want to sing them even more." It's unclear if the song will end up on Miley's Bangerz follow-up or on the collaborative album she's recording with the Lips.

It wasn't all doom and gloom, though. According to Billboard, she skipped playing hits like "Wrecking Ball" and "Party in the USA" in favor of the gender-bender Cash classic "A Boy Named Sue," Dido's "No Freedom," a fierce run through Zeppelin's "Babe I'm Gonna Leave You," the Beatles "A Day in the Life" and a handful of her own songs, including "SMS (Bangerz)," "4x4," "We Can't Stop" and show-closer "Love Money Party."

Here's her take on Khia's totally NSFW anthem, "My Neck, My Back."
