Forget The Club, French Montana Shows A Soulful Side With 'Hold On'

Casino Life 2 is coming very soon.

French Montana is busy putting the finishing touches on his Mac & Cheese LP, but until then, the Bronx, New York rap star is ready to serve fans with a freebie in the form of his Casino Life 2: Brown Bag Legend mixtape.

To hype the tape, which comes out on Friday, May 8, on DatPiff.com, French hooked up with director Spiff TV and Worldstar Hip Hop to drop the video for "Hold On."

The track finds French putting aside his club-ready swagger, in exchange for the soulful brand of music he was known to make before his major label deal. "I wish you was next to me/ The devil was busy, God was blessing me," he sings before shouting out friends who are no longer with him.

First he salutes fallen NY rap favorite Stack Bundles and then sends a heartfelt message to the incarcerated Max B. "They killed Stack, I came out with Chinx/ Fidel Castro, 100 links," he raps right before he shouts: "Free Bigga."

If this is any indication of what we can expect from Casino Life 2, fans are in for a treat.
