What’s Cuba Like? Let Questlove Show You: Watch

On a quest in Cuba.

Questlove might be one of America’s most beloved drummers, from his work with The Roots to his gig on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," but he’s also celebrated around the world. Most recently, he showcased this during his April trip to Havana, Cuba.

"I really want to come give culture to the people," Questlove said in a mini-documentary released by Okayplayer on Thursday. "I’ve never seen a place more appreciative, more respectful of musical culture."

This was Questlove's first trip back since 2002, but he vowed not to make it his last. "We’re coming back," he said in the doc. "Mark my words. I’m coming back to DJ. The Roots will come to Cuba."

This was a huge trip because it's been tough for Americans to travel to Cuba in the past due to government restrictions. However, new regulations have made it easier for some U.S. citizens, including journalists, to get to the country, according to a January New York Times report.

So, Quest made the most of his experience, and thanks to his "Quest For Cuba" doc, you can, too. Here's a brief recap (followed by the full mini-film):
