Quentin Tarantino's 'Hateful Eight' Is 'Reservoir Dogs' Meets The Wild West

Old school Tarantino fans are going to go wild — wait for it — west!

Once upon a time in the west, Quentin Tarantino almost closed the door on "The Hateful Eight," his planned follow-up to "Django Unchained," thanks to a massive script leak. Thankfully, he changed his mind and pushed forward with the film, and the result looks a little something like this:

That's the first official look at "Hateful Eight," courtesy of Entertainment Weekly, which promises to have even more details on Tarantino's new Western in the days ahead. For now, the filmmaker has already dropped a comparison that's sure to get Tarantino nerds psyched up. He says that the movie, which sees "eight of the West’s nastiest gunslingers in a snowbound frontier way station," according to EW, is something akin to "Reservoir Dogs" set in the Wild West.

"A bunch of guys in a room who can’t trust each other," he says. "That wasn’t a marching order when I sat down to write the script, but pretty quickly I realized this is kind of a nice coming-full-circle."

We'll all circle those wagons together when "Hateful Eight," starring a mess of amazing people from Samuel L. Jackson to Kurt Russell, drops in November.
