What's The Status Of The New Wiz Khalifa And Curren$y EP? We Asked Wiz

The Pittsburgh rapper gives some details on their #2009 EP.

Wiz Khalifa and Curren$y have cooked up plenty of heat together in the past, from joint (pun intended, sorry) projects like How Fly and Live In Concert to tracks for each other's solo work. And, pretty soon, we'll be treated to another full-length from the two.

"We're still putting the ideas together and just making it a full project," Wiz told MTV News at Live Nation's National Concert Day on Tuesday, referencing their upcoming #2009 EP. "Because we're such friends and we're such stoners, we kind of just wanna give it out. But, then, you know, we are in the music business, so, we're figuring out the best way to package it and put it together."

So far, they've released tracks like "Weed Nap" and "Uber Driver," both of which are hazy reminders of the chemistry between the two.

"The music is there, and we always gonna be recording and putting stuff out, so we're just putting the plan together, really. I wanna have the best plan of action so it comes off correctly," he said.

Until they figure out exactly what that rollout plan is, Mister Cap and Spitta will continue to make new music. So, maybe the longer it takes them to decide how to drop it, the more music we'll get?

"We're just working on it constantly," the Pittsburgh native, whose "See You Again" recently hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, added. "He just got off of tour, and he always hits me up with new ideas about the project; I always hit him up. He's always sending me beats that he rapped to, or I'm sending him stuff that I rapped to. In the end, we're just gonna come out with something super dope."
