Suge Knight's Future Might Depend On The Outcome Of Mayweather-Pacquiao Fight

No pressure.

It's always important to have a backup plan, and apparently no one knows this better than Suge Knight.

The former Death Row Records CEO was arrested in January following a fatal hit-and-run in Compton, California and now his trial date has been set for July 7. But Suge doesn't want to remain behind bars until then.

Suge has already pleaded not guilty to murder and attempted murder charges in connection the hit-and-run, and his bail has been set at $10 million. An LA judge has denied his lawyer's request to reduce bail to $5 million, so their next move is getting Floyd Mayweather to help.

His laywer Matthew Fletcher told the New York Daily News that if Mayweather emerges victorious from his big fight against Manny Pacquiao on Saturday night, he'll be willing to cough up $10 million.

"My understanding is that Suge's going to be bailed out this coming week," Fletcher said. "We think Mr. Mayweather is going to win the championship and then come champion the day again. They're good friends. We believe it will happen."

However, the boxer's team has denied any plans to bail out the rap mogul, according to TMZ.

Suge Knight will be back on court on May 29, when his lawyer will make an attempt to have the case dismissed.
