Welcome to the greatest Thursday in the history of all known and recorded Thursdays. Why is it so great, you may ask? Because we finally got confirmation of the on-screen reunion of the best silver screen duo of all time, Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling.
Here, we'll give you a little bit of punctuation to process that: !!!!!!!!!!
The news that Stone and Gosling are confirmed to star in "La La Land," a "modern take on the Hollywood musical" directed by "Whiplash" director Damien Chazelle, could not have come at a better moment. Our "Crazy Stupid Love" DVDs have been begging for mercy, and our friends have been really politely but firmly asking us to please stop using this GIF to describe every great day we've had:
And this one to describe our ideal man:
Look, the heart wants what it wants, and the heart wants to
date Ryan Gosling see Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone co-star in a movie musical together.
Due out July 15, 2016, "La La Land" is also written by Chazelle and sounds like it may not have as happy an ending as "Crazy Stupid Love."
According to a synopsis released by Lionsgate, "Sebastian (Ryan Gosling) and Mia (Emma Stone) are drawn together by their common desire to do what they love. But as success mounts they are faced with decisions that begin to fray the fragile fabric of their love affair, and the dreams they worked so hard to maintain in each other threaten to rip them apart."
But...but...why would anyone ever want to rip Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone apart? Especially when they're singing?
We can't wait for July 2016 to roll around so we can have our hearts treaded all over once again. One request, though: can we work that "Dirty Dancing" lift in again? Because that's a skill that can't go to waste.
