It looks like Louisiana has Lil Wayne's back.
During a show over the weekend, Young Thug -- who has been wrapped up in a subliminal war of words with Tunechi over his Barter 6 -- was met with heckling and boos in Weezy's home state.
"Hollygrove, n---a. Weezy!" you can hear someone shout in the video, referencing the neighborhood in New Orleans where Wayne grew up.
Later, boos rain down on Thug, but he seems unfazed -- smiling, sticking his tongue out and continuing with his set.
Thug and Wayne have been going back-and-forth for weeks now, in a disagreement centered around Thugger's recent release, which was initially set to be called Carter 6, but, for alleged legal reasons, was changed to Barter 6. Weezy, meanwhile, has been working towards the release of his own Tha Carter V, which has been delayed as he deals with problems with his label, Cash Money.
“Carter V coming soon," he said during a concert last week. "Ain’t no motherf--kin’ such thing as Carter 6.”
