Mark Wahlberg isn't known for pulling any punches. Neither is Diddy. So when it comes to betting on one of the most anticipated sports events of the year, expect the two to really up the ante.
Manny Pacquiao's upcoming bout against Floyd Mayweather is the culmination of years of rumors and suspense. The world's two welterwieght world champions have drawn various celebrities into each of their camps -- Khloe Kardashian, Justin Bieber, Jamie Foxx, Tom Brady, and many more have all pledged their allegiance to one or the other.
But it's unlikely that any of them have as high a stake in the match as Diddy and Wahlberg.
Diddy posted an Instagram video of him and the "Ted 2" actor placing a quarter of a million dollars on the game. Yes, you read that right: $250,000.
For the record, Diddy is backing Mayweather ("the money team, baby") while Wahlberg is siding with "Pacman." At Diddy's suggestion, the new nemeses start their bet at $100,000 before upping the stakes to a whopping $250K.
Wahlberg agrees to the price, pointing at Diddy's flashy stud earring and announcing, "I want that diamond."
Diddy laughs and replies, "That's why I'm gonna take your money."
Yep, this just might be the most intriguing bet we've seen since Chris Evans and Chris Pratt's epic Super Bowl wager. The Mayweather/Pacquiao fight takes place May 2 in Las Vegas, so we'll have to wait and see how this plays out.
