Chance The Rapper Shares Stunning Remix Of Jeremih's 'Planes'

Two Chicago artists collide.

Last month Jeremih released "Planes," the first single from his forthcoming Late Nights: The Album. The track featured J. Cole, but a video of Jeremih and Chance The Rapper performing the song live had been floating around for months, and fans were chomping at the bit to hear it.

Just when it seemed lost to the infinite black hole of unreleased collaboration teases, Chance has finally dropped the song out of nowhere. Not only does this version feature his verse, but the beat has been re-worked by Norwegian producer Lido and Chance's band, The Social Experiment.

The original beat sounded like a static glide through the upper atmosphere. This one skips and dives closer to earth, riding on fluttering woodblocks and punctuated by vibrant horns and organ stabs. It's equal parts intimate and soaring.

Chance's verse drips with effortless confidence and playful flirtation. "We should just go and kick it, this the factory, listen to Kells, order daiquiris," he murmurs to a love interest.

But relationship drama is never far from view: "With your b--ches, gettin' drunk as f--k, See a b--ch I fucked, then get mad at me, listen to Kells, then get back with me," he spits.

Suffice to say, we're listening all day. Stream the track below and snag a free download on Chance's Soundcloud.
