This Is What It Feels Like To Get A Verse From Lil Wayne

Dej Loaf says her Weezy collab is 'a personal' one.

A lot of artists would love a Lil Wayne verse, but what happens when they actually get one?

Dej Loaf, who made waves with her "Try Me" single last year, recently got to find out when she received a Weezy verse for her the “Me U & Hennessy” remix.

“I was going crazy,” she told XXL on Thursday. “I was like, ‘Wow, he really did it. This crazy.’ I knew he was going to do it, just the way he did it.”

According to Loaf, their "Me U & Hennessy" collaboration is a special one. "It’s really like a personal song,” she said. "Some songs don’t need to be touched sometimes, and if it was going to be touched, I wanted it to be great. So he did a great job."

Aside from Wayne, Loaf has also collaborated with other rap heavyweights recently, including Eminem on "Detroit Vs. Everybody."

In February, Loaf talked about other guests she’d like work with. “I have something in mind for Missy Elliot, Charlie Wilson and DMX,” she said. "People you haven’t seen in a while and who I grew up listening to.”

At the time, she also said she wanted to work with Iggy Azalea, Lil’ Kim and Nicki Minaj. She may get a chance to enlist Nicki for a collab. They are scheduled to head out on the Pinkprint tour together in July.

Looks like her debut album might just be a star-studded affair.
