Young Thug Confirms Engagement, Addresses Reported Lil Wayne Feud

He also discusses Rich Homie Quan's distance from Rich Gang.

We assumed that Young Thug had gotten engaged after he shared some telling Instagram posts, but we couldn't be exactly sure. Well, during an interview released Wednesday (April 22), the MC finally confirmed the rumors.

“Yes,” Thugger told AllHipHop during an interview at his April 17 listening party.

While Thug gears up for wedding bells, the rapper’s also had to deal with rumors of a Rich Homie Quan feud - especially after he called him "Bitch Homie Quan" during a March concert.

"He had to focus on his career,” Thug said of Quan. "That’s something that he had to do. He didn’t have to do it, but he did it. I understand why he did it."

Recently, Rich Homie explained how he felt when he heard Thug call him 'Bitch Homie Quan.'

“My first reaction was, ‘My brother called me 'bitch?’” Quan said. “To be honest, not to get in my feelings, it hurt. Not hurt as in I’m gonna cry, but dog, bro, I would never disrespect you, point blank period, especially when we have each other’s numbers.

“There’s certain stuff you do and certain stuff you don’t do,” Quan added. “It’s a certain way you do things. That’s not one of the ways I would’ve done it.”

The Quan controversy has accompanied rumors of a Young Thug feud with Lil Wayne. At first, Thugger said he wanted to continue Wayne's Carter series of albums during an interview with MTV News. Then, he moved ahead with Carter 6 even though Wayne hadn't released Tha Carter V. While Thugger’s said that Weezy is his idol, it seemed Wayne didn’t appreciate his decision to name his recent album Carter 6.

Thug later changed the project's title to Barter 6 after saying he was threatened with a lawsuit.

As folks speculate about a feud between these two MCs and as fans argue about who's better, what does Thugger have to say about his intentions for Barter 6?

"It was like paying homage,” he said. "That’s a person I look up to. No, there’s no beef."
