Drake Pretty Much Predicted This Year's NBA Sixth Man Of The Year

Congrats, Lou Will.

Following his Nicki Minaj-assisted Coachella performance, Drake has another reason to celebrate.

The MC gave love to Lou Williams Monday (April 20) after the NBA honored the Toronto Raptors star with this season’s Sixth Man Award. The recognition is given to the best bench player in the league each year.

"Congrats, my brother," Drake wrote in an Instagram caption celebrating Lou Will.

Williams entered the NBA in 2005 straight out of South Gwinnett High School in Snellville, Georgia. This year, he had a season worth celebrating, averaging a career best 15.5 points per game and helping Toronto to its 49 wins, a franchise high, according to the NBA.

Drizzy, a global ambassador for the Raptors, pretty much saw this coming with “6 Man” off his latest project If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late.

"Boomin' out in South Gwinnett like Lou Will,” Drizzy rhymed on the track. "6 man like Lou Will / Two girls and they get along like I’m…like I'm Lou Will / I just got the new deal.”

The Raptors are in a playoff series against the Washington Wizards. Their next game is Tuesday (April 21).
