Haven't you heard? Spending summer outdoors will earn you nothing but sunburns and mosquito bites -- spare yourself the pain and watch TV, instead!
Today, MTV is proud to announce that some of your very favorite shows will be back very, very soon, and they'll share airtime with some new series that are sure to find some spots in your regular rotation.
To get the party started, new episodes of "Girl Code" will begin airing on Wednesday, June 3 at 10/9c, and Carly Aquilino, Nicole Byer and MTV's most scandalous soothsayers will continue to shock audiences with their candid-and-then-some nuggets of wisdom. Plus, Carly, Awkwafina and Nessa are ready to double down on proper "Code" as the hosts of the brand-new series "Girl Code Live," which will premiere Monday, August 31 at 10:30/9:30c and feature celeb guests, musical performances and the frankness you've come to love from the ladies...all in front of live studio audiences.
Venturing into darker territory, Scott McCall and the "Teen Wolf" gang's senior year at Beacon Hills High School will officially kick off with a special two-part premiere that begins on Monday, June 29 at 10/9c and concludes on Tuesday, June 30 at 9/8c (the show will continue to air on Mondays at 10/9c in the weeks that follow). And while Scott's pack fights for survival, a group of your favorite rug-cutters will fight for a performance spot at the 2015 Video Music Awards, as "America's Best Dance Crew: Road To The VMAs" will officially kick off on Wednesday, July 29 at 11/10c, when all-star alums of seasons past battle it out in front of judges T-Pain, Teyana Taylor and Frankie Grande. The winners will be crowned in a LIVE EPISODE that leads into the VMAs' Pre-Show.
Not enough drama for you? "Teen Mom 2" will continue to explore the lives and challenges of young parents Leah, Jenelle, Chelsea and Kailyn on Thursday nights at 10/9c starting July 9, while "Awkward" will close out the Palos Hills High School crew's senior year starting Monday, August 31 at 9/8c, and "Faking It" will follow at 9:30/8:30c.
More good news: While we don't have exact premiere dates in the can, we can confirm that "Broke A$$ Game Show," "Are You the One?" and "The Challenge" will all be back. Feel free to send thank-you gifts!
Still, if new blood's more your taste, you can check out MTV's own horror series "Scream," which is based on the uber-popular film franchise and will follow a group of teenagers who are at the mercy of a sophisticated serial killer -- the gore-fest starts Tuesday, June 30 at 10/9c. And while you can take solace in the fact that "Scream" is pure fiction, real-life docu-series "One Bad Choice" will look at the cold, hard truth of how isolated mistakes can change the course of someone's entire life when the collection of episodes kicks off on Thursday, July 9 at 11/10c.
Due for a smile after all that heaviness? "Todrick," which will premiere Monday, August 31 at 10/9c, is sure to get you into a good mood. The series will follow YouTube star and quadruple threat Todrick Hall as he and his creative think tank churn out weekly digital masterpieces.
If you find you're in the mood for an escape, MTV's also cooking up "The Shannara Chronicles," which is based on Terry Brooks' fantasy book series that finds three heroes fighting to save the planet from an army of evil demons. Alternatively, if you need to come back down to Earth -- more specifically, suburban New Jersey -- keep your eyes peeled for "Follow the Rules," a chuckle-inducing half-hour comedy that will find rapper-turned-actor Ja Rule and his wife Aisha trying to keep their rowdy household (there are three generations living under one roof!) under control.
Finally, if you just need to kick back, relax and laugh, CollegeHumor's hoping to turn the formulaic late-night talk show on its head with "Middle of the Night Show," which will air straight from...celebrity bedrooms? (yeah, we're going there)...while "Greatest Party Ever" will leave you completely incredulous by offering real-life tales of epic bashes (and often, epic repercussions) told straight from many party animals' mouths. Bluto's got nothing on these guys...
