Almost a year ago, Katy Perry started her Prismatic World Tour in a flurry of sequins, palm fronds, animal print jumpsuits, and a number of other, equally over-the-top looks. This weekend, Katy kicked off the fifth leg on the tour—yeah, FIFTH, NBD—in China and unleashed a slew of new performance outfits.
While Katy—or Fruit Sister, as she's known in China—kept her wigs and accessories consistent, she paired them with new costumes. On previous legs she wore this green wig and thigh-high, florescent socks with a leafy croptop and hotpants, but in China, she ditched 'em for a neon, paint splatter dress.
While she already had a cat suit—with matching ears, of course—included in her tour wardrobe, Katy unveiled yet another cat-centric look for this leg. Based on her glowing ponytail, it seems as though she traded in her light-up skirt and shirt from Roberto Cavalli for this metallic number.
And, finally, Katy appears to have swapped her sheer, butterfly-covered Valentino dress for this sparkly dress with sunflower appliques. Her colorful pastel wig lives on, thankfully—LBR, when you can wear a rainbow on your head, you're not gonna give up that opportunity.
Katy is on tour throughout Asia until mid-May, so we're hoping for even more new costumes. Yes, we're greedy, but look how good they are! MORE, MORE, MORE. Of course, if these three additions are all we're getting, we still have the sixth leg of the tour, which kicks off in September, leaving plenty of time for new costume creations.
