Selena Gomez meant it when she recently shared with fans that she loves "being happy with me." After debuting an hourglass silhouette while on vacay with homeys in Mexico, Sel took to her linen closet, dressed up her curves and brunette tresses in a couple of freshly laundered white towels.
OK, actually the towels were courtesy of veteran Vogue photographer
Mario Testino, and Gomez was posing as part of his "Towel Series." The ongoing photo series puts Selena in good company as Testino has been snapping new-school supermodels from Joan Smalls to Karlie Kloss in just their bathroom attire for the project.
“I choose very carefully who I photograph for [the 'Towel Series'] -- it is only my point of view, no one else has a say in it,” Testino told Vogue last August of the series before explaining that he sets few rules while on set. “I think girls and guys feel this freedom at being able to express themselves. There is no predetermined way of how you put the towel on.”
No word on whether this series will evolve beyond Instagram but Testino has said he appreciates the photo-sharing site as a great way of "communicating." Selena seems to share that sentiment. After a few followers began attacking the singer with vile comments about her shape, she responded in typically unbothered fashion with a bikini pic and the best hashtag: #theresmoretolove.
