Where Are They Now? The 'She's All That' Prom Edition
Spring is in the air, which -- if you're a nubile young teenager -- means it's time to get ready for prom.
Though of course, going to prom also means living with the knowledge that your experience will never, ever live up to the totally rad '90s proms you saw on the big screen -- or didn't, because you were too busy watching "Sesame Street." Youths.
The gold standard for awesome '90s proms is and always shall be "She's All That," which famously featured Usher himself coaching a bunch of Delia's clad teens through a rousing dance routine to Fatboy Slim's "The Rockafeller Skank" while Dean Sampson (Paul Walker) tried his best to coax Laney Boggs (Rachael Leigh Cook) to his Beverly Hills Hotel room.
So in honor of that glorious film -- which is reportedly getting a remake, because nothing in this world is sacred -- here's what those crazy California high schoolers are up to now.
Rachael Leigh Cook (Laney Boggs)
Unless you're a big fan of The CW's "The Originals" or TNT's "Perception," you probably haven't seen Cook pop up in quite some time. She's acted consistently since "She's All That" -- most notably on three seasons of "Perception" -- but nothing quite lived up to her late '90s smash. Lately Cook's kept busy as mother to her two children with "The OGs" star Daniel Gillies, whom she's been married to since 2004.
Here she is last April, hanging out with Jennie Garth.
Freddie Prinze, Jr. (Zack Siler)
Prinze has remained in the public eye over the years, largely thanks to his marriage to Sarah Michelle Gellar. The devoted father of two has also worked consistently -- he did a season of "24" back in 2010, has hosted many events for WWE, and now he voices Kanan Jarrus on "Star Wars Rebels."
Here he is on "Bones" last fall.
Anna Paquin (Mac Siler)
Paquin, "She's All That"'s resident Oscar winner, went on to star in "True Blood" from 2008-2014. She also married her "TB" costar Stephen Moyer in 2010, and later gave birth to fraternal twins.
Here she is enjoying San Diego Comic-Con -- and her blue hair -- last summer.
Jodi Lyn O'Keefe (Taylor Vaughan)
The Queen of Mean has acted consistently on television, most notably in "Prison Break" and the VH1 series "Hit the Floor." She can currently be seen as Alaric's pregnant doctor wife on "The Vampire Diaries."
Here she is hanging out with her "TVD" costar Chris Wood at the Vanity Fair party last February.
Gabrielle Union (Katie Darlingson)
You probably already know what '90s queen Gabrielle Union is doing -- starring in her hit show "Being Mary Jane" and movies like "Top Five" and the "Think Like a Man" series. She's also the wife of NBA legend Dwayne Wade.
Here she is speaking at her "AOL BUILD Speaker Series" event a few weeks back, like a boss.
Dulé Hill (Preston)
Hill made it big in the television world shortly after "She's All That." First up was six seasons of "The West Wing," then eight of USA's beloved "Psych."
Here he is in Atlanta, just last month.
Elden Henson (Jesse Jackson)
Henson has had a very, very good week. He landed the plum role of the title character's best friend and legal partner Foggy Nelson in "Marvel's Daredevil," which is already receiving serious critical acclaim. He also plays Pollux in "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay" movies.
He also attended "The Avengers: Age of Ultron" premiere, so safe to say things are looking up for the guy who spent the entirety of "She's All That" eating snacks.
Usher Raymond (Campus DJ)
Everyone's favorite Funk Soul Brother is still doing his thing. Obviously.
Paul Walker (Dean Sampson, Jr.)
Paul Walker passed away on November 30, 2013. Before that, he found fame and the world's best family in the "Fast and Furious" movies.
