Ansel Elgort’s Cute Advice To Nat Wolff: ‘Take The Time’ For Fans

As a seasoned pro at dealing with the hype surrounding a book-turned-blockbuster, Ansel has some wise advice for Nat.

If there’s anyone who knows how to soak up stardom in the most fun and selfless way, it’s Ansel Elgort. Last year, he catapulted into the limelight with his heart-wrenching role in the adaptation of John Green’s novel The Fault in Our Stars, earning him legions of adoring fans all over the world.

Now, a new Green adaptation, “Paper Towns,” is headed to the big screen, and its two leads — model-turned-actress Cara Delevingne and Ansel’s “TFIOS” costar Nat Wolff — are two of the most buzz-worthy stars in Hollywood.

Because he’s already a pro at weathering fans’ high expectations about beloved, best-selling books turned into blockbusters (he also has the “Divergent” series under his belt), Ansel offered up some wise advice to Nat.

"We all did it together," Ansel told The Hollywood Reporter about dealing with the hype surrounding "TFIOS," before stressing the importance of making fans happy. "My thing with fans is, it's always about being really good to them, and taking the time to take every picture. If there are 300 people, you should take 300 pictures — you shouldn't take 250 because then 50 people will go home sad. Why would you do that?

Lest you think the 21-year-old is all talk and no game, one look at his Instagram will show you his infectious smile is always primed and ready to go when camera-happy fans are around.

"That's my thing — try to be really good to the fans," Ansel continued. "I talk to them and I know they get really disappointed when their favorite people don't take the time for them. So, take the time for them.”

We have a feeling Nat will have no problem taking Ansel’s lead — after all, he proved at the MTV Movie Awards last weekend that he’s game for fan selfies anytime!
