Wiz Khalifa's 'See You Again' Performance On 'Ellen' Is As Touching As The Video

Wiz's performance gets spliced with clips of Paul Walker.

It's been quite a week for Wiz Khalifa.

Not only did his classic mixtape, Kush & Orange Juice, turn five years old, but his latest single, "See You Again," dethroned the more than three month run of "Uptown Funk" to become the #1 song on Billboard's Hot 100. And on Wednesday, he hit the stage on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" to perform the hit.

Joined by Charlie Puth, who sings the somber yet catchy chorus, the Pittsburgh rapper took to the smoke-filled stage for a live version of the single off of the "Furious 7" soundtrack. In addition to the live performance, the show spliced in clips from the music video -- a string of shots from the movie series that focus on the late Paul Walker and are sure to work your tear ducts.

“To have the responsibility to do the Paul Walker record was really dope,” Wiz told MTV News over the weekend.

“I basically thought about what the movie stands for as far as family and the brotherhood, and of course, using the metaphor of the last ride and the last race because of that last scene."

One of the best moments of Sunday's Movie Awards was Walker's friend and co-star, Vin Diesel, singing the chorus to the track. Watch him explain the moment below.
