The St. Louis rapper and one other man were arrested and later released on $10,000 bond, after Tennessee Highway Patrol officers pulled over his bus and found marijuana, crystal rocks that tested positive for methamphetamine and several handguns.
Nelly's post essentially echoed what his lawyer Scott Rosenblum said in a statement to CNN this weekend.
“Nelly was one of several individuals that was on a tour bus that was stopped and searched while traveling through Tennessee,” Rosenblum said.
"In fact, there had been 15-20 people that had access to the bus prior to the stop. Allegedly, a small quantity of contraband (MDMA aka Molly or Ecstasy) was discovered during the routine search. We are extremely confident that when the facts come out, Nelly will not be associated with the contraband that was allegedly discovered.”
This isn't the first time that Nelly's gotten in trouble for illegal items on his tour bus, however.
In 2012, he was detained when cops found heroin, marijuana and a loaded gun on his tour bus. He was eventually released, when another man confessed to owning the contraband.
