The next time we see Rocky Balboa, it won't even be in his own movie; he'll be stepping out of the spotlight to let a new face, but familiar name, step into the ring.
We're talking about "Creed," of course, the new boxing movie starring Michael B. Jordan as the late and legendary Apollo Creed's grandson, Adonis Creed. Wanting to follow in his grandfather's footsteps, Adonis recruits Apollo's old rival and friend Rocky to become his mentor — and the results will look a little something like this:
Sylvester Stallone posted this pic of himself and Jordan training in the ring on Instagram over the weekend, offering fans their first look at Michael in fighting shape, and the first real glimpse at what it's going to look like when Rocky steps aside and lets someone else step up in his place.
Now, we'll just be sitting over here tapping our foot, waiting for news of Dolph Lundgren joining the cast…
