Drake Celebrates His Friend Baka's Release From Jail

'Baka finally home,' Drake says.

Drake has many reasons to celebrate life, but on Tuesday (Apr. 7), the rapper shared what he considered the most important reason as he announced that his friend Baka has been released from jail.

"Something in the air today," Drizzy said on Instagram. "A lot of good things happening at once. But this one means the most! Been waiting for 11 months! Baka finally home!"

Drake fans know Baka from Drizzy's references. Most recently, the MC spoke about Baka on "Know Yourself." "I might declare it a holiday as soon as Baka get back on the road," Drizzy rhymed on the If Youre Reading This Its Too Late track.

Before that, Drake had a "Free Baka" reference on OB O'Brien's "Schemin' Up."

Baka also may be familiar to fans because he appears at the end of "From Time" off 2013's Nothing Was The Same.

According to Fader, Baka was arrested in connection with a human trafficking investigation.

Drake's currently running his OVO pop-up shop out of Los Angeles.
