Will Kendrick Lamar Be On Kanye West's 'So Help Me God' Album?

K. Dot also reveals part of a verse that didn't make 'TPAB.'

Kendrick Lamar and Kanye West seem like the perfect duo. It's a dream collaboration just waiting to happen, right and if we're lucky we'll get to hear the Compton-to-Chicago connection on Yeezy's upcoming So Help Me God album, right?

"No," Kendrick Lamar said in an interview with Los Angeles' Power 106.

That seemed pretty definitive, but then K. Dot changed his tune just enough to give us hope.

"We worked," he added. "But he’s still working. So, you never know."

Hear that guys? There's a chance.

There's more we might not be getting from Kendrick. During the interview, K. Dot shared part of a verse that he says he left off of To Pimp A Butterfly, adding that the lines he omitted were just too "brutal" to be on wax.

While we may or may not hear the Kanye/Kendrick collab we're hoping for, we do know that Yeezy's a fan of K. Dot's latest album, To Pimp A Butterfly. When the project dropped, Yezus praised it, calling the TDE MC "an inspiration."

Kanye and Kendrick already collaborated on "All Day," even though K. Dizzle isn't on the track. Hopefully there's more from their work together that we'll be hearing soon. As K. Dot put it, "you never know."

For now, we'll just keep on analyzing K. Dot's To Pimp A Butterfly tracks, with a little help from King Kendrick himself.
