Got 'Insurgent' Withdrawal? John Flanagan's New Series Will Totally Help

Gaze on the beauty of this cover reveal.

If you've already seen "Insurgent" and are currently suffering through major action withdrawal, fear not: We're got an exclusive peek at bestselling fantasy-adventure writer John Flanagan's latest series in the form of a pretty badass cover reveal.

Let's pause for a moment to take it allllll in:

There's a lot there, right? The splintering arrow. The charging horse. All the lovely colors. Just gaze for a few before continuing with this story -- I don't mind.

OK! As you can see from the words emblazoned on the cover, Flanagan's new book is titled "The Tournament At Gorlan," and it's the first in his new series, "Ranger’s Apprentice: The Early Years" -- a prequel to his wildly popular "Ranger's Apprentice" series.

While the existing books deal with an orphan named Will and his apprenticeship as a Ranger (which is basically what it sounds like -- a protector), the prequels deal with an early iteration of the Ranger group and a threat to its integrity.

Put a big red circle on your calendar on October 6 -- because that's when the action goes down. In the meantime, we're just going to keep staring at this cover...
