A$AP Rocky Leaves Behind His Streetwear Roots For 'GQ'

And we totally aren't mad about it.

Since even before he proclaimed himself "The Fashion Killa," A$AP Rocky has been holding down the throne in the style department for rappers, at least for his generation. With each editorial spread he does, he confirms his kingly status, and that's especially the case with his new GQ feature. In the latest issue of the magazine, Rocky gets us really excited about his next album At.Long.Last.A$AP, and his new look to boot.

In the time between now and when he came out swinging with his radical Hood By Air and Been Trill-dissing "Multiply," Rocky has graduated from streetwear to more tailored looks. In GQ, he pairs his Z Zegna sneakers with a navy suit—instead of a T-shirt and jeans.

Even when he's at the most casual in the shoot, wearing an orange anorak and a white hoodie, his gear is high-end. These pieces are by Dior Homme and Rag & Bone.

In a behind-the-scenes video, we get to see multiple outfits worn by Rocky (and hear a verse from his upcoming album!). In one look, he opts for high-end Gucci track pants paired with a Salvatore Ferragamo blazer, and in another, he pays homage to his signature all-black style in an ensemble by Helmut Lang, Rag & Bone, and J Brand.

The new issue of GQ is on newsstands now.
