8 Things You Need To Know About Britney Spears And Iggy Azalea’s ‘Pretty Girls’ Collaboration

This wait is killing me.

Mark your calendars, because this May 5 we aren't just celebrating Cinco de Mayo, we're also celebrating all the "Pretty Girls," thanks to Britney Spears and Iggy Azalea.

Brit revealed that on Tuesday May 5, our ears will finally get the pleasure of listening to her collaboration with the "Fancy" rapper.

The two have been teasing us for months -- since last November -- and the anticipation has been killing us. And while we still have to wait 41 more days for the track (not like I have a countdown or anything) I decided to round up every little thing we know about this single so far.

  1. Britney Puts Things In Motion

Back in October when asked who she would want to work with, Britney said it would "be great" to work with Iggy.

  2. Iggy Confirms The Collaboration

On November 21, Iggy told a fan that she did, in fact, get in the studio with the pop star and it was "amazing."

  3. It's Not About The Booty

Iggy cleared up some rumors back in December, telling fans that the name of the song will not be "Bliss" and unlike her collaboration with Jennifer Lopez, this song won't be about your backside. Oh, and it sounds nothing like the "Booty" track.

  4. It Will Be Epic

In February there were some rumblings that Iggy was dropped from the track. Those were all lies, obviously, as she tweeted that there are "epic plans underway."

  5. Brit's Got Nothing But Love

It's safe to say that Britney has developed a little bit of a girl crush on Iggy. I mean she admitted that when she saw her on TV she was like "a kid in a candy store.” BFFs!

  6. These Two Are Such 'Pretty Girls'

During an interview with the Associated Press earlier this month, Iggy revealed the name of the song, which is definitely appropriate.

Since Britney is "slowly" working on a new album, Iggy is kicking things into high gear, telling the AP that this will most likely be the first single off her upcoming sophomore album.

In an interview with People magazine, the "Toxic" singer finally revealed May 5 will be the release date. Thank you Godney.
