The memory of Paul Walker lives on with the most powerful tribute yet from co-star Vin Diesel.
Diesel appeared on Monday morning's "Today" show to reveal that the name of his recently born third child with Paloma Jiminez was a tribute to Walker. "I named her Pauline," Diesel said of his daughter, whose birth was announced March 16.
Walker, who co-starred with Diesel in the "Fast and Furious" franchise, died in a single-car accident November 30, 2013.
Diesel said he felt Walker's presence at Pauline's birth.
"He was in the room," Diesel recalled. "There's no other person that I was thinking about as I was cutting this umbilical cord. I just ... knew he was there."
He decided to name the baby Pauline to keep Walker on his mind every day.
"It felt like, you know, a way to keep his memory a part of my family and a part of my world," he said.
"The relationships that you see on film are so real," Diesel told fans. "When the tragedy happened, I lost my best friend. I lost my brother."
"Furious 7" is dedicated to Walker's memory.
