It's pretty hard to imagine getting as angry as the Hulk, isn't it? Actually… no, it's not. That's the appeal of Earth's mightiest (and greenest) hero: Hulk channels his innermost rage by unleashing heaping amounts of destruction on everything around him. We only wish we could let our fury out in such a monstrous manner.
Since we first met Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner in "The Avengers," there has been no shortage of scenes that artfully depict just how much Hulk represents the furious streak in all of us. But Marvel just perfectly bottled up that lightning storm in the form of a new "Avengers: Age of Ultron" GIF:
If Hulk tearing an Ultron army to shreds isn't the perfect depiction of you, me, and everybody we know at our absolute angriest, then I don't know what is. It's absolutely applicable in every single extreme rage-inducing moment I can think of:
-
When it is finally time for your lunch break, and then you drop your lunch on the floor…
-
When you thought you set your alarm for a 6 o'clock in the morning wakeup, only to find you hit "PM" instead…
-
When you're in the last days of recovering from a sprained ankle, and then you trip and fall and sprain your other ankle…
-
When you discover those concert tickets you bought online with weeks and weeks of saved-up paychecks are completely and totally fake…
-
When you and your friends are surrounded by an army of world-threatening androids…
Okay, that last one doesn't happen so often, but the rest are (1) common enough, and (2) ENRAGING. It's not a good idea to actually go around breaking stuff, but the next time something truly infuriating happens to you, just conjure up this image of Hulk tearing a bunch of robots to ribbons, and know that you are not alone in your anger.
"Avengers: Age of Ultron" hulks out on May 1.
