When "Divergent" hit theaters last year, fans left with one question on their minds: where's Uriah?

The fan-favorite Dauntless-born initiate who befriends Tris (Shailene Woodley) was noticeably absent from the first film, but fear not: he's all in in this weekend's "The Divergent Series: Insurgent."

Keiynan Lonsdale, the 23-year-old Australian actor who plays Uriah, told MTV News that he feels the pressure from fans before they've even seen the movie.

"I don’t google myself, but they write to me on social media," he said. "They’re generally pretty nice but some can be really passionate, like, 'if you don’t do this right I’m going to cut you with a knife.' Oh, oh thank you. Or I get ‘I love you, but you better do this right, no pressure.' Oh, thanks. There’s a bit of a love/hate relationship there. We’ll see how they like it."

The opinion he really cared about, however, was that of "Divergent" author Veronica Roth.

"I was kind of freaking out when I met her because I was like, 'what if she doesn’t like me?'" he said. "It's the classic thing that everyone’s always worried about, but she was really cool."

So he's shot the Dauntless guns and learned to fight alongside Shailene Woodley, but Lonsdale said he wasn't so sure if he'd don the Dauntless black if he actually did have to choose a faction. His reasons are at least partially carb-related.

"I don’t really feel like I fit into any of them, not because I have transformed but I just don’t know if I would survive in any of them," he said. "So I’d say Divergent. I think Amity would be the easiest one, and just chill out, Abnegation wouldn’t be so bad either, but no vanity, no cake, no chocolate. These are my priorities."

As for working with Woodley, with whom Lonsdale shot the majority of his scenes, including an intense six-day fight sequence, he said she has an unusual quality.

"I would say that when she’s looking at you and listening to you, she’s really looking at you and listening to you," he said. "That’s a quality I don’t think many people our age have, or many people in general have. It’s really cool. She’s a hugger. I know that everyone says she’s a hugger, but she really is."
