Love, trust, respect and healthy communication are just some of the ingredients needed for a long-lasting relationship, but none of those things mean much if you can't take your girlfriend home to meet mom.

From the looks of things, Big Sean and Ariana Grande have the type of romance that most of us dream of -- and his mom approves, too!

"She's fabulous," Mama Anderson told TMZ reporters earlier this week after they asked her about her son's boo.

Sean, who was with his mom, was a bit embarrassed by her answer. "Mama loves spilling the beans, boy," he told reporters with a sheepish grin.

Sean did a bit of bean-spilling himself when MTV News spent the day with him on Feb. 24, the same day he released his third LP Dark Sky Paradise. While aboard a plane to Detroit, we asked him about "Research," his latest duet with Ariana. The track tells the story a distrustful lover -- a story that Sean says is completely fictional.

“It’s a real ass situation even though it’s not real to our situation right now, it feels like everybody can relate to that. People going through your stuff and research and all that,” he said. “That’s the whole thing of the album, we wanted to keep the concepts what we go through, what people go through. As far as me and her’s situation, our relationship, nah we aren’t going through nothing like that.”
