Seriously, how does Jason Derulo do it?
Pretty much every song he drops -- "Whatcha Say," "The Other Side," "Talk Dirty," -- basically stays "In My Head" and turns out to be a huge hit. I have a feeling his newest song, "Want To Want Me," is about to follow that same path.
The contagious first single off Derulo's upcoming fourth album is much different vibe from beat-heavy club tracks like "Talk Dirty" but just as catchy. Produced by Ian Kirkpatrick, "Want To Want Me" is a feel-good track that has Jason channeling Adam Levine with a pretty impressive falsetto.
But don't worry, it's not a big departure from a lyrical standpoint. Jason, who co-wrote the song, still throws in that signature naughty talk.
"You open the door/ Wearing nothing but a smile/ Fell to the floor and you whisper in my ear, 'Baby, I'm yours'/ Ooh, just the thought of you gets me so high, so high," he sings.
Jason will perform the song for the first time at the iHeart Radio Music awards on Sunday, March 29, and a video seems to be on the way since he's been posting some pics on Instagram from the set.
