In the clip posted by TMZ on Monday morning (Mar. 9), Knight's red truck pulls into the parking lot of a hamburger joint in Compton, California, and he is seen speaking to several people in footage caught by a surveillance camera.
Though it's unclear from the angle of the clip, TMZ reported that the first person to approach the truck is Cle "Bone" Sloan, who worked security on the set of the N.W.A. biopic "Straight Outta Compton;" Knight was reportedly booted from the set of a promo shoot for the film earlier in the day. The site claimed the video shows Sloan attacking Knight through the truck's window (though it is unclear from the angle of the surveillance footage), at which point Knight puts the truck in reverse and knocks Sloan down with the vehicle's side mirror.
A second man, Terry Carter, comes into the frame and is standing near Sloan's body when Knight drives through the parking lot again, hitting Sloan a second time and running over Carter, who would later die of his injuries.
Knight's lawyer (who has since been replaced) had argued that the video would help prove that his client feared for his life and accidentally ran over the victims after they attacked him. Knight, who is due in court on Monday, remains in jail on $2 million bail.
Knight told a judge last week that he'd fired his attorneys and that he has not been given proper medical treatment while behind bars. He also noted that he's blind in one eye and has only 15% vision in the other.
