At 20 years old, Ansel Elgort is one of Hollywood's fastest rising stars alongside Shailene Woodley. In "Divergent," he played her brother, while in "The Fault In Our Stars," he portrayed her lover.
"I don’t know how we did it, but we pulled it off somehow," Elgort said in a new interview with People, realizing the two roles were a little wierd. "We’re happy that somehow it worked."
Elgort described a hilarious conversation on set of "Divergent," when his co-star Theo James -- who plays Woodley's love interest -- was feeling under the weather.
"I asked Theo if it was alright [to kiss Shailene because] he wasn’t feeling well," he joked.
"I said, 'Listen, I’ve done it before,' and guys that do the visual effects in this movie are good, so they could have easily changed our bodies and it would have been cool," he added.
Although Elgort has played leading roles in in two huge films, he still feels uncomfortable in the limelight.
"Every day, I go on the street and people ask for pictures, which is kind of weird and different than it was before," he explained.
"It’s really nice when people recognize your work because most actors out there really never have the chance to be seen, so I’m really grateful."
