Kanye West Will Be Participating In Paris Fashion Week In An Unexpected Way

Get thee to Paris.

Unofficially, Kanye West is the king of Paris Fashion Week. At least around these parts. In many ways, Ye and Kim have ended up more of a talking point than the actual clothes over the past few seasons, hopping from show to show—sometimes with North West in tow—and causing a frenzy wherever they go. So, it's pretty appropriate that Ye will now be closing the week with a handful of shows. You're going to want to get yourself there, STAT.

The shows, which are scheduled for March 7-10, take place at the Fondation Louis Vuitton. While the Frank Gehry-designed building serves as a museum—a kind of location Kanye has performed at before (see: the 2013 Met Gala), the locale is notable, seeing that the building has ties to Louis Vuitton (and its parent company, the fashion conglomerate LMVH), which Kanye blasted not too long ago for not taking a chance on him as a designer.

Ye started his sneaker design career with the iconic monogrammed brand, but when he was airing his frustrations about not being given opportunities in fashion, Louis Vuitton was one of the companies he targeted. "I was made for this moment. What happened was while I was out in Paris—I wanted to meet with the head of Louis Vuitton, he said I don't understand why we need to meet with you," Kanye revealed during a 92.3 NOW interview. But it appears he's mended ties with the brand since then, and might have even been referencing LV in his bit about luxury luggage and the luxury of time during his recent Oxford lecture, saying only, "I’m not gonna say the obvious brand of luggage that I’d normally say because I’ve got a meeting with them soon." Lo and behold, Kim posts this image of the couple leaving the Fondation Louis Vuitton days later.

All these things considered, you know these shows are going to be special. Plus, given Kanye's last epic show at London's KOKO, it won't be surprising if a handful of guests pop up on stage during his set. *AHEM* Lorde? Looking at you...

Of course, tickets—priced at a cool 100 euros (can you really put a price on seeing Kanye at PFW though?)—will be scarce so act fast and grab them here.
