#TheDress Was On 'American Idol' And Now We Definitely Know What Colors It Is

We are not seeing any white OR gold, sorry.

Maybe you've already moved on to arguing about whether weasels can really ride woodpeckers. But just to put a pin in it, we're going to weigh in one more time on, yes, "The Dress."

Because here's the thing: after breaking the Internet last week, the dress made its way onto "American Idol" on Thursday night when top 8 girls singer Jackie "Jax" Cole wore it while singing Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell's "Ain't No Mountain High Enough." Judges Jennifer Lopez, Keith Urban and Harry Connick Jr. thought her singing was pretty good on the jazzy remake of the iconic song, but frankly they were a bit distracted by the outfit.

"Now, is this the dress that broke the Internet? host Ryan Seacrest asked about her outfit.

"Yes," Jax said laughing. "Is it white and gold?"

Seacrest tried to settle the debate by holding up a picture that started a million disagreements on his phone and getting a second from Lopez on the color question. "I see blue and black," he said as the audience, and JLo, seconded that emotion.

"Pink and red," Urban joked.

Seacrest wouldn't let it die. Later posting a picture of Jax and the original side-by-side and still insisting that it's white and gold... even though he's TOTALLY WRONG.

Here's Jax's performance.
