This Is Why Taylor Swift Will Never Talk About Katy Perry

'It's never going to happen,' Taylor says.

Taylor Swift may sing about the "Bad Blood" she has with a certain female pop star, but you won't catch her actually talking about her "straight-up" enemy, which may or may not be Katy Perry.

"I’m not giving [the media] anything to write about," Swift told The Telegraph when the paper probed about gossip sites' interest in her rumored feud. "I’m not walking up the street with boys, I’m not stumbling out of clubs drunk. But I’m never going to talk about her in my interview. It’s not going to happen."

Though it may not happen in a public forum, that doesn't mean Taylor won't talk about Katy -- or any of her other "enemies" -- behind closed doors, because being nice all the time is "annoying."

"It’s not real if someone appears to never have any issues with anyone. I have my friends, I have enemies," the 1989 singer admitted. "I have bad days when I don’t want to go to a photo shoot, but I’m not going to show up four hours late, I’m going to be there on time. I’m not nice all the time but I try not to be carelessly rude to people who don’t deserve it."

She continued, "When I’m with my friends, we don’t say glowing things about everybody. We’re not sitting around going, 'You know who’s really special and wonderful?' That’s not what we talk about -- we’re normal girlfriends."

Taylor also revealed why she and her girlfriends -- Karlie Kloss, Lorde, Haim -- get along so well and it's pretty simple: They aren't looking for anything more than friendship.

"The thing about my girlfriends right now is that none of them needs me for anything other than friendship," she explained. "I love the fact that they are all passionate about their jobs, whatever their jobs are. A lot of celebrity-type people have this group of people around them where their friends’ main priority is them, and they feel comfortable with that dynamic. I don’t feel comfortable with that dynamic."
