A couple that nearly suffers hypothermia together, stays together. Right? That's something people say, isn't it?
Either way, it's how Lady Gaga and fiancé Taylor Kinney bonded on Sunday in Chicago, when they waded into Lake Michigan as part of the annual nationwide Polar Plunge event in support of the Special Olympics. It was a relatively balmy day in the Windy City at 31, with a slight snow falling and the lake clocking in at a ... OMG are you kidding? 33 degrees.
Gaga prepped for the plunge by warming up in some of Kinney's Chicago Fire swag.
And then it was on.
And Gaga couldn't have been happier.
"Feels so good to do things for a good cause like the Special Olympics. It's great donate money, but also great to donate a gesture of love for those who deserve to be showered with it," Gaga said, after riding into the frigid waters on Kinney's shoulders.
How cold was it? Her weave froze.
"Taylor gave me his hat I thought my wig was gonna freeze into and become one with the lake."
The couple weren't alone, as the celebrity guest of honor at the event was Vince Vaughn, according to a local report. Also joining them were Kinney's co-stars, Jon Seda, David Eigenberg and Randy Flagler.
Gaga also took some time to bond with other participants.
