Kanye West isn’t known for performing acts of contrition.
But here we are, witnessing a kindler, gentler, far more apologetic Yeezy.
Earlier today, the “All Day” MC took to Twitter to offer up not one, but two sincere mea culpas.
First up was Beck. As you probably recall, When the Morning Phase singer recently won the Grammy for Album of the Year, 'Ye charged the stage in protest, similarly to how he famously stole Taylor Swift's moment at the 2009 VMAs.
In a post-Grammy interview with E! News, Kanye slammed the alternative rocker, suggesting he should give the award to Beyoncé.
Clearly, Kanye has seen the error of his ways.
Next up was Bruno Mars, whom he shot darts at while onstage at the Yeezus Tour stop at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center back in 2013.
“I’m sitting there, I’m trying to enjoy mother—-ers performing, and sh–. I’m looking, I’m watching Drake perform, I see Bruno Mars perform, and sh–,” Kanye told the crowd that night. “And then they start giving out awards and sh–, and Bruno Mars won all the mother—-ing awards, and sh–.”
Not only did ‘Ye try to mend fences, he also suggested that the “Uptown Funk” crooner sing the hook for a new song he has in the works with Diddy.
If Bruno can forgive and forget, we'll all get another potential anthem.
Call us crazy, but we like this new, potentially more humble Kanye.
