Are You Ready For The Ravenaissance? Raven-Symoné Is Making A TV Comeback

That's so raven.

After making our jaws drop on Fox's "Empire," Raven-Symoné is now headed to ABC's "Black-ish."

As first reported by EW, the former "That's So Raven" star will play Rhonda, Dre’s (Anthony Anderson) gay sister, who is "just as uncomfortable talking about her sexuality as Dre is," in an upcoming episode. The episode, aptly titled "Please Don't Ask, Please Don't Tell," will follow Dre and Rhonda’s decades-long sibling rivalry, while addressing their mutual discomfort with discussing Rhonda's sexuality.

We love that shows like "Black-ish" and "Empire" are exploring diversity from all angles. We need more LGBTQ representation on primetime TV, and Symoné, who is openly gay herself, is the perfect woman for the job. She's smart, confident, and an all-around inspiration.

And with her role on "Empire" bound to bring more baby mama drama before the season one finale, we couldn't be more ready for her career resurgence. In fact, we're calling it the Ravenaissance.
