A-Whoo-Ooh! 'DuckTales' Is Officially Coming Back To TV

We're going back to Duckburg... in 2017.

"DuckTales" (a-whoo-ooh!) is officially returning to TV, and our chill is gone -- possibly forever but at least until 2017. If only we had a giant money bin to jump into to calm us down... sigh. We can't all be lucky, filthy rich ducks.

Walt Disney Studios

Disney XD announced today (February 25) that it plans to bring back "DuckTales" in 2017. The beloved animated series, which premiered in 1987, followed the daily shenanigans of the uber rich Scrooge McDuck and his three mischievous grandnephews, Huey, Dewey, and Louie. In other words, #RichDuckProblems.

According to the press release, the new series will star the same memorable characters as OG cartoon: Scrooge McDuck, Huey, Dewey, Louie, Launchpad McQuack, Donald Duck, Duckworth, Gyro Gearloose, Flintheart Glomgold, Magica DeSpell, Poe, Ma Beagle, the Beagle Boys, Mrs. Beakley, and Webbigail Vanderquack. Count. Us. In.

Since we have well over a year until we revisit Duckburg, let's just watch the "DuckTales" intro on repeat until then, okay? Okay.
