Ah, the Golden Raspberry aka Razzie Awards – an annual reprieve from a season of Hollywood taking itself super, super seriously.
The celebration of cinema's worst achievements took place at the Montalban Theater in Los Angeles on Saturday night (February 22), and Ben Affleck was the first recipient of a new honor in the ceremony's 35th year: the Razzie Redeemer Award. He impressed voters by bouncing back from a Razzie win for "Gigli" to become a critical darling for films like "Argo" and "Gone Girl."
So who took home the most Golden Raspberries of the night? That'd be Kirk Cameron – his religious-themed holiday extravaganza "Saving Christmas" swept the ceremony by earning Worst Picture, Worst Actor, Worst Screen Combo (for acting alongside "His Ego") and Worst Screenplay. That's even more than last year's biggest loser, "Movie 43." Ouch. At least it's not as bad as Adam Sandler's record-setting 10 Razzies for "Jack and Jill."
Other notable "winners" include Cameron Diaz for Worst Actress in "The Other Woman" and "Sex Tape," Megan Fox for Worst Supporting Actress in "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" and Michael Bay for Worst Director of "Transformers: Age of Extinction."
