Singer/actress Hilary Duff has filed for divorce a year after separating from husband Mike Comrie, a rep for Duff confirmed to E! News.

MTV News has reached out to Duff's reps for further comment.

Comrie and Duff have one child together, two-year-old son Luca. Duff is reportedly seeking full custody of the child.

The two are officially calling off their five-year marriage. In January 2014, they officially separated. The couple were spotted holding hands at a Halloween party in October, and have been seen in public together on several occasions while Duff explained publicly that she didn't know what the future would hold.

When the pair separated, Duff's rep released this statement: "They remain best friends and will continue to be in each other's lives. They are dedicated to loving and parenting their amazing son, and ask for privacy at this time."
