Zac Efron Helps Kick Off The Brand-New Season Of 'Catfish'

See the actor in action -- along with a sneak peek of the first episode featuring Charlamagne Tha God.

Zac Efron is helping the cyber sleuths from "Catfish" usher in the show's brand-new season because, well, he kind of owes 'em one.

The upcoming installment of MTV's hit docu-series featuring Nev Schulman and Max Joseph won't actually include the latter for its first few episodes -- the silver fox had to take a hiatus to direct Zac in "We Are Your Friends," a romantic drama chronicling the EDM and Hollywood nightlife scene.

Now, to help make up for the monumental loss (not that it's all his fault or anything), Mr. Efron is joining forces with Nev and Max to offer a glimpse of Season 4's premiere episode. In it, Nev and "Guy Code" star Charlamagne Tha God help Miracle, a twentysomething mom desperate to find the real truth about her long-distance BF Javonni.

Charlamagne isn't the only person giving Nev some support this season: A new set of detectives are on tap to help uncover some of the Internet's biggest cyber frauds. And never fear, fans: The online dating world continues to be crazier than ever.

Check out the sneak peek below, and don't forget to tune in to the Season 4 debut of "Catfish" on Wednesday, February 25 at 10/9c!
