7 Reasons Why Having A Pet Is Better Than Having A Date On Valentine's Day

All the snuggles!

If you’re still trying to find your perfect match this Valentine’s Day, Best Friends Animal Society might be able to play Cupid. The no-kill shelter is offering $10 adoptions during “The One” promotion February 13-16 at its adoption centers in Utah, New York, and Los Angeles, as well as through participating No More Homeless Pets Network partners across the country.

Over 3 million cats and dogs are adopted each year, bringing endless snuggles and kisses to their forever homes. If you’ve been thinking of adding another member to your family, why not spend the most loving day of the year making an animal’s dream come true?

Gregory Castle, Best Friends Animal Society’s chief executive offer, agrees: “Ask just about any pet owner and they’ll tell you, dogs and cats provide them with a lot of joy, comfort and companionship. And with so many dogs and cats in shelters or rescues waiting to be your one and only, Valentine’s Day is the perfect time of year to adopt a pet.”

If these little furry faces can’t convince you, here are a few more reasons why pets make the purrrfect Valentine.

  1. You’ll never have to sleep alone again.
