"Fifty Shades of Grey" isn't all butts and nipples. (No, seriously, we counted.) One of the more surprising things about the film is how funny it is -- you know, for those who like their sexual angst served best with a side of giggles. You will definitely find yourself laughing through "Fifty Shades."
How do the actors feel about that? And more importantly, who's funnier: Dakota Johnson (Anastasia Steele) or Jamie Dornan (Christian Grey)? Speaking to MTV News, we put Johnson and Dornan in the uncomfortable position of answering this very tough question -- and things got heated.
"I'll give Jamie some credit," Johnson said. "He can be really funny sometimes. I just have a little bit of an upper hand because I have experience in comedy. I was on a sitcom." Johnson's charming Fox sitcom, Ben and Kate, was canceled after one season. Then again, it did open her schedule up for "Fifty Shades of Grey," so we guess it wasn't an entirely crappy situation.
However, Dornan didn't appreciate Johnson's answer. Christian Grey may be a surly man, but that doesn't mean the Irishman doesn't enjoy a good laugh now and then. "I am funnier than Dakota. Straight up," he said. "She's done more comedy than I have, but that is going to change... I will become the king of comedy."
Watch out, world. Jamie's coming to make you laugh.
"Fifty Shades of Grey" hits theaters February 13.
