The famed producer and director has landed a role in a biopic that will follow the life of porn star Vanessa Del Rio, who was infamous in the adult film industry in the '70s and '80s. Del Rio's escapades were referenced in hip-hop songs like Junior M.A.F.I.A.'s "I Need You Tonight."
IndieWire reports that the film will chronicle her career, while highlighting the organized crime industry that tightly controlled Times Square, New York at the time.
It will be produced by Datari Turner and directed by Thomas Mignone, and RZA's role in the film will definitely incorporate his love for music.
He will play a character who helms the door at a burlesque club in New York City where Vanessa works, and also uses audio gear at the venue to create hip-hop.
Zulay Henao will star as Vanessa Del Rio, "The Sopranos" actress Drea De Matteo play the madame who discovers her and runs the club she works in, while "Orange is the New Black" star Taryn Manning will appear as Del Rio's best friend.
